OVERVIEW

The Corvair Pro Mips is designed for intermediate to advanced riders and beyond. Wildhorn is renowned for protecting people on snow and now we've used that experience to design products for biking. If you're looking for a helmet optimized around safety, value, and style the Corvair is an incredible option ready to shred with you on the trail. The Pro version is equipped with Mips Evolve and an antimicrobial Ionic+ liner. Mips Evolve has a refined fit, improved ventilation, and a lighter construction, intended to reduce rotational force to the head on certain angled impacts. The Ionic+ liner helps keep odor at bay, no matter how much you sweat.

Features

  • Super vent design for hot days and hard climbs
  • Interior channels for incredible airflow
  • 17 exterior vents
  • Low profile, superlight design
  • FTA system to dial in customized fit
  • Extra pads of varying thickness included
  • High-grade EPS foam liner wrapped in two-piece PC shell
  • Three point smooth adjust over-sized visor
  • CPSC certified
  • EN 1203 certified

Sizing Tips

Instead of universal sizing, we built two separate molds (S/M and L/XL). Helmets should be snug but comfortable. You shouldn't notice much movement of the helmet as you ride. While the FTA system dial and extra pad sizes help you dial in the right fit, you still need to choose the correct shell size. Please refer to the sizing guide above. If you find yourself in between sizes, it's usually best to size up as you can use the extra pads and FTA to get it right.

Tech Specs

  • EPS foam liner

Care and Instructions

MIPS EVOLVE

The Corvair Pro is equipped with the Mips Evolve helmet safety system. With a refined fit, improved ventilation and a lighter construction, Mips Evolve was a natural choice for the already lightweight and vented Corvair design. Mips Evolve intends to reduce rotational force to the head on certain angled impacts.

SUPER VENTING

The Corvair's signature feature is the unique channel design for air flow. As much as you like the thrill of riding down the trail, the ride up is usually grueling and hot. Corvair has 17 vents distributed across the helmet. However, the secret sauce is in the unique ridged channels inside the helmet. This allows air to pass through the helmet more efficiently while cooling more of your head. Corvair is perfect for riding in any temp, but especially effective in the heat.

STAY ODOR-FREE

IONIC+ is the broadest spectrum of antimicrobial technology that protects against the growth of microbes on your helmet liner. This helps protect against odors after a sweaty day climbing hills on the mountain. This is the most advanced antimicrobial system available.

THE GRASS ROOTS EFFECT

We designed the Corvair MIPS Pro helmet in our Draper, UT office. We believe in designing gear for the sports we know and love. With trail systems accessible just a few minutes from our office door, we carefully tested the Corvair MIPS Pro helmet with local riders to ensure optimal performance and value.

Corvair Pro

Comfy, haven't worn it on a ride yet, but feel secure and looks like good venting. As far as style/coverage, it feels like the lower edge of the helmet is higher than some of my other lids. Feels like it sits further above the ear and further above the occipital lobe than with my POC Tectal.
