Logistical Impacts from COVID-19

March 23, 2020

I wanted to let all our valued customers know we are experiencing unpredictable delays due to COVID-19. There are two primary reasons for this. First, we use Amazon's FBA service to ship many of our website orders. We do this because they are the most cost effective, reliable third party to use. We feel it's in our customers best interest to get packages quickly and reliably. Amazon is now only prioritizing "essential" products to ship. Unfortunately outdoor products don't fit that description in their opinion. We understand we are in unprecedented times. We will do what we can to support.

Second, we use other third parties in California which is currently on lockdown. The staffing of that warehouse is sporadic causing delays.

We don't have real time access from either warehouse provider to let us know the exact time delay to expect. We just know it may be longer than normal. Please account for this when ordering. We appreciate and need your support now more than ever. Thank you for your business at this uncertain time. Knowing that you may not be able to get out and use some of the gear we sell for some period of time.

Sincerely,

Mark Thomas
CEO - Wildhorn Outfitters

Moments, Movement, and Triumphs
Moments, Movement, and Triumphs

September 11, 2018

One of my goals is to create a business that has a 2-way, long-term relationship with its customers. After all, those are the kinds of relationships I value in my personal life. What are we if not a bunch of grownup kids forced to work for a living :) So, I'm attempting to make this brand a way to create friendships and have fun experiences. To get to know you better, I asked you what made you feel alive or connected. I got a flood of responses back. It's about Movement, Moments, and Triumph.

The Difference Between Stupidity and Genius

September 06, 2018

I think this sunset wast he best I'd seen all summer. So was it genius or stupidity? I guess it was probably both! Right after we enjoyed this we had to make our way down on a night where there was no moon.

A Few Tries

Waited to use my 28" Delano X2 snowshoes until the weather warmed up to 6 degrees F. I almost put on my very old Lands End Snow Walkers because they were like and old friend, but thinking I should try the new, on went the Delanos. First try I was not real happy. Bindings were the issue. Rubber was not very flexible in the cold, especially the heel strap. Getting them on/off was an issue. Since then the weather has warmed and we've been out maybe 15 times for 2-3 mile hikes. Just came back from snowshoeing 100 mile north of Duluth, MN and the Delanos are now my new best friend. The bindings are a real nice upgrade and very easy to use... now. Just took me a few tries.
Also, the size and weight of these snowshoes are real nice. I'm 175# and they have worked very well for me. Enjoy!

I love my goggles

My Dad bought these for me after I borrowed his for a ski trip. They even come in my favorite color. :-)

Delano x2 snow shoes

The bindings are nice because they are easy to put on and take off.

Phenomenal Product

These have worked beautifully. I had the outdoor tech chips first that never really worked and were more of a hassle than they were worth. Switched to Wildhorn and have had no issues. Stayed connected all day on the mountain; sound quality is great; buttons are easy to use; fit in my Anon helmet great.

Delano X2 wonderful!!!!

Love these! They are super lightweight and the bindings are comfortable and stay on really well , my feet do not slip!!! Plus I love the colors! Super buy, thank u!
