LOOK GOOD. FEEL GOOD. SKI GOOD.

Wildhorn outerwear is a collection of Men's and Women's insulated ski jacket and pants. Check out this overview video to learn more.

STYLE + PERFORMANCE SKI JACKETS

Our men's and women's ski jackets are packed with goodies. High grade thermal insulation will keep you warm during the coldest months of the season. The 10k breathability helps you regulate body temperature. 12K waterproofing will keep you dry. Lots of pockets and an oversized hood to top things off. We spared no detail and optimized for performance and value.

THE PERFECT SKI PANTS

Like our ski and snowboard jackets, our ski pants spared no expense. 12k waterproofing, 10k breathability, quality zippers and boot cuffs. Stay warm and dry, move well. These insulated pants are a customer favorite and we're stoked to see you rock a pair on the mountain.

DWR COMES STANDARD

All our apparel is treated with DWR to help repel water and keep you dry on the inside. 12k waterproofing keeps you dry in most conditions aside from full downpours and blizzards.

DESIGNED IN THE USA

Designed in Utah by skiers and snowboarders that wanted reliable, performance-oriented options without breaking the bank. All apparel also comes in sustainable packaging as we work on reducing our footprint on the world.

FAQ -

  • Q:

What kind of jacket is best for skiing?

    A:

For skiing or snowboarding you’ll want to find a jacket with waterproofing, insulation, and breathability. You may want to find a jacket with a hood that is compatible with your helmet. Protective pockets for your phone and other valuables are also a big plus!

  • Q:

How do I stay warm while skiing?

    A:

A proper layering system is critical to manage temps and staying dry no matter the outside environment. Make sure your outerwear offers you high quality waterproofing (5k or more) and allows moisture to vent from your body. Your base layer should be moisture-wicking (not cotton). You can also keep extremities warm with heated gloves or rechargeable hand warmers.

  • Q:

    What do waterproof ratings mean?

    A:

Imagine a 1" diameter tube with a piece of fabric underneath it. As you pour water in more pressure is applied to the fabric. A waterproof rating of 5k means 5000mm of water pressure can be applied before the fabric allows moisture through. Typically you want at least 5k or higher in your outerwear for skiing. 10k or higher is going to keep you dry in most skiing conditions while 20k will keep you dry under all but the most severe weather.

  • Q:

How many layers do I need?

    A:

The number of layers depends on conditions and personal preference. Typically you want to plan on three types of layers: base, mid, and outer. The base layer should be tight fitting and moisture wicking (not cotton). Mid-layers should provide insulation and could be down or wool. Outer layer is your jacket or shell and should be rated at least 5k waterproofing. Wildhorn jackets are insulated and may reduce the need for a mid layer on a warmer day.
