Delano X2Lightweight Snowshoes OPEN BOX
These snowshoes are the worst. I got them as a replacement when my sawtooth version broke, as they said that model was out of stock. Based on the sale on these I’m guessing they’re trying to dump them. Bindings constantly come loose. The bindings actually get caught when you extend beyond the frame going uphill. They also have the same weak point attachment that broke on my sawtooths so I give them a couple more trips before they break, if I don’t get frustrated and replace them first. Do yourself a favor and get a decent brand if you do anything beyond flat trails.
Great price, even though it was open box sale product in perfect condition
I bought 4 pairs of Wild Horns Sawtooth snowshoes a couple years ago, pair for me and the rest as gifts. I was on a recent snowshoe outing and one of rivets/grommets broke disengaging the shoe boot from the frame. I was able to baby my way back to the trailhead. This pair of snowshoes has less than 10 hours on them and I get things happen. Unfortunately when I contacted customer service I was told they do not have parts nor do repairs and that I could go around to hardware stores to try and find the parts. Unfortunately the strap that attaches the shoe boot to the frame is special to this snowshoe, not a hardware item. Then Jona, the customer support rep I had been conversing with came up with this solution "why don't you buy another pair"-seriously! Why would anyone knowingly buy something they can't get support on! My next move was to try and call them but there is no phone support at Wild Horn-although you can leave a message. In other words they have a phone number with an automated attendant that states we do not do phone support! I left messages several days ago asking for the contact info for Mark Thomas CEO and Ashley Nibe (director of customer service) in hopes I could move this up the ladder to someone that could help other than try and sell me more snowshoes. Like maybe contact the manufacturer that makes the snowshoe for them. You guessed it, still waiting for the call and/or email with their info. On the website you will see the team page with names and very nice pictures but no way to contact any of the team. Since the snowshoes purchase I have purchased goggles, lenses etc. from Wild Horn but going forward any purchases of the types of products Wild Horn sells will be done with a dealer that supports their products. Very unfortunate! Lesson learned.
Got 2 pairs for my wife and myself and they are just what we expected them to be. Thanks
Everything appeared great, however on the first use all the heel strap clips broke. 1 broke while strapping up at the truck, and by the time I returned the remaining 3 had broken. Haven't had this issue with other brands, so it would appear cheap materials were used for these. Disappointed and cannot recommend.
