THE PEAKS ARE CALLING

Cloud Ripper Trekking Poles combine lightweight carbon fiber construction, soft wrist straps, moisture-wicking cork handles, and anti-shock mechanisms to create a comfortable hiking experience. Using hiking poles reduces stress in your knees and ankles. They also provide leverage for climbing up steeper inclines, and support on the declines. Carbon fiber is a lightweight metal that provides the most benefit on longer hikes where every ounce can make a difference. Whether you are new to hiking or a seasoned veteran, a dependable set of poles is a useful gear item in your arsenal.

WHEN EVERY OUNCE MATTERS

Cloud Rippers are made from carbon fiber metals. Carbon fiber is light enough to go anywhere and strong enough to give you the support you need. When distance is your goal, Cloud Rippers will get you there.

DURABILITY IN THE MOUNTAINS

We strive to balance value with durability. Cloud Rippers are designed to take you places without worrying about gear performance. We back up everything we sell. If you ever encounter issues with your poles, let us know and we'll take care of you. That's the Wildhorn Promise.

Anti-shock Handles

Each handle contains on/off anti-shock springs. Anti-shock helps with easing the impact of the descent. When climbing uphill, this feature is easily turned off.

TELESCOPING ADJUSTMENTS FOR ALL

Flip locks are used to secure your poles at different adjustment lengths. With a range of 100-135cm Cloud Rippers fit most hikers. Don't trust the twist locks on cheaper poles. Flip locks are the best way to keep a pole from slipping.

Cloud Ripper Hiking Poles

I used these poles to hike Half Dome and they were awesome! They did very well coming down the hill absorbing the shock.

I prefer the Pohlay poles!

Ordered these for an upcoming trip to Hawaii. Unfortunately they were a little too long for my checked baggage at 23"; and according to the TSA website they are not permitted in a carry-on and for that reason I did end up returning them and purchasing the Pohlay tri-fold poles instead which I am very happy with! Another thing to note, they can be attached to the outside of the Highpoint daypack fairly easily but the overall compactness of the pohlay poles was just more convenient and quicker to stow away. They are lightweight and the cork handles feel good in your hands; if you don't plan on flying too much with them then the size shouldn't be an issue for you!

cork handles

This is the second pair of these poles I have had. The cork came unglued on the first pair within 20 miles of use. I was told that a bad batch of these pole had been having this problem and a replacement pair was sent to me. With around 100 miles on them the replacement pair have the same problem. Both times this has happened there was only a very little glue used in the process. Maybe more glue is the answer. I've never had this problem with any other trekking pole I have owned. Maybe if they were made in America the quality would be better.

Wonderful!

I absolutely LOVE these poles!! The padded handles and anti shock (my favorite feature) make your hike more comfortable. We actually bought another set because my fiancé tried them and wanted his own set.

Cloud ripper trekking poles

Used yesterday on a hike for the first time and they worked well, however one of the straps broke off as I was trying to adjust it :(
