LET'S RUN THROUGH THE OPTIONS
Born in the Wasatch mountains of Utah, we know snow. Our HQ sits right at the base of some of the best skiing/snowboarding and all around winter mountain adventure found anywhere in the world. All our products are designed and tested right here in Utah U.S.A. We offer multiple goggle lines, catering to all skill levels.
AURORA LENS TECH:
Roca and Pipeline goggles feature our dependable Aurora Lens Tech platform. Quick changing magnetic lenses, 100% UV protection, optical clarity, and loads of style make these ski goggles our best yet. Explore what Pipeline and Roca have to offer. We offer a library of lenses to arm you for every light condition and to give you style flexibility.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT LENS:
Let’s start with the basics. Variable light transmission, VLT for short, measures the amount of light transmission through a lens. The lower the VLT the more tint the lens has. The brighter it is outside, the lower the optimal VLT for your lens. Bluebird days mean LOTS of light amplified by that white snow. Clouds or storms reduce light. Using a higher VLT helps you see more contrast in that situation. We recommend arming yourself with both a low and high VLT lens. Don’t get blinded by the light.
STANDARD OR OVERSIZED?
Roca goggles come in a standard size, great for most teens and adults. It also comes in a junior size, great for most kids aged 8-12 (or smaller adults). Pipeline is a larger goggle with an oversized design. This oversized design still fits most adults who prefer a larger field of vision with their goggles. Finally, the Shilo goggle is made for young children under the age of 8.
AVAILABLE LENS SHAPES
We currently offer both spherical and cylindrical lens designs. While both are optically correct, each offers slightly different viewing experiences. Spherical lenses are shaped with a consistent curve and offer the truest optical accuracy. Cylindrical lenses have a flatter shape and offer a huge field of view. Roca, Cristo, and Shilo are spherical while Pipeline is cylindrical.

FAQ -
-
Q:
Do I need goggles to ski?
A:
Ski goggles are highly recommended - even for beginners. Skiing or snowboarding without a pair of quality goggles can be difficult and even painful. Wildhorn ski goggles are specially designed to keep from fogging while protecting your eyes and face from harmful UV rays, snow and wind.
-
Q:
What color lens is best for skiing?
A:
The ideal lens for your ski goggles will depend on the available light. A bluebird day with loads of reflected light will require a darker tint (a lens with lower VLT). On a cloudy day or during night skiing you’ll want less tint (higher VLT). Many Wildhorn ski goggles offer interchangeable magnetic lenses so you can swap depending on light conditions.
-
Q:
What is the best lens shape for a ski goggle?
A:
There are 3 different shapes available: spherical, cylindrical, and toric. Spherical and Toric are most optically correct while cylindrical offers the widest field of view. The best shape for you will depend on your own preference for style and view as all three can provide a good experience.
-
Q:
How much should I spend on a ski goggle?
A:
As always, it depends. Cost drivers in ski goggles are mostly in the lenses. However, other components such as the strap and frame can also impact the durability of your goggle. Wildhorn goggles all have high quality straps, frames, and lenses. They are optimized for performance, quality, durability, and value.
