Repurposing Full Face Snorkel Masks for Healthcare Use

March 25, 2020

About 30 days ago we began brainstorming use cases for our line of full face snorkel masks to help with the shortage of PPE products needed to fight COVID-19. This past weekend stories from around the world began circulating from industrious and resourceful teams in Europe that successfully turned full face snorkels into ventilator masks and protective respirators.

We have also 3D printed our own parts to test these masks in ventilator use cases. We are working with several doctors and other groups around the country to examine what's possible. We make no claims representations that our masks will work in this environment. The design of course is for recreational snorkeling at present.

If you would like to work with us on an idea or talk about supply needs please email or call Mark Siu directly. His email is msiu@wildhornoutfitters.com and his direct line is (801) 859-2250‬.

My experience hiking the Mist Trail in Yosemite National Park
My experience hiking the Mist Trail in Yosemite National Park

September 24, 2018

Yosemite National Park has no shortage of hiking trails. Some of the most spectacular views I have ever seen came from this valley. With several hiking trails to choose from, one of the most famous and popular is the Mist Trail, and with good reason. The trail includes 2 waterfalls, Vernal Falls and Nevada Falls, and the best time to visit are in the Spring and early Summer when the water is raging. I recommend shoes with good traction as some parts of this hike can get very wet and slippery. Also any waterproof gear will definitely come in handy!
